No sound: no emotion
It looked like a school project, something about making an advertising about drunk-driving. That was an easy subject.
Sad you didn't add sound at all. You should have put something on, even a simple song, just to entertain our ears while we're watching.
Also, work on your animation. That was a good beginning, but to get knowned, you'll have to practice and creat your own style.
Try again and put more effort on it, even if you have to wait for your speakers to be repared.
That was funny
The story was great. I haven't gone to see if you had made other flashs, but maybe I should. I didn't understood all the characters.
Although, I think you should work on your audio. The sounds often appears to be too loud and the voice too low. I had to play a lot with my speakers during the flash. Also, if you're shy to make your own voice acting, you should ask your friend to do it. There's sometime a...lack of emotion, if I can say it this way. Last thing would be to make some sound test before recording to try reducing the "pff" effects at the bare minimum.
I don't have much thing to say left, concerning the animation and the story. By now, you just need some practice.
Good job, Bert.
Yeaah I know what you mean for the audio. I would've gotten some different voice actors for it but I started the series with just my voice and I didn't want to end it with the characters having completely different voices. Thanks for the review.
Good base
Take care of the square of your screen. The "black screen" didn't hide everything.
With sounds, it would have been much more funny...can I say it this way?
That was a good idea. That's a great concept to follow.
thanks^^ for the square tip off. also for the review.
So nice!
It could make its way to the front page. I like it.
Good animation, excellent subject. Loved the choise of your colors.
HO!
I didn't , but really did NOT expected this. I thought the beaver was going to fly with it.
Really nice^^!
Man...I really cannot draw gophers.
It's...It's...
Shite. It was too friendly to end like this. I felt sorry for it. :(
Fisrt try, but not last
That was ok. Didn't frightened me, but kept me watching. I think you need to work on your audio.
To answer your question, I do like horror movies, but not gore ones. I'm more the type of personne ready to watch something like the Orphenage, more "spychological" horror, than Saw IV, wich is just, on my opinion, a butchery taped on camera.
Continu on the psychological way. That's the type of horror that stays in the history. Just think about Hitchcock's masterpieces...
Not totaly terrifing
That could have been a good idea. At the very start, i thougt that the concept of a serial killer letting makrs in form of "?" on his victime was a very good one, very trilling and inspiring. Sadly, that wasn't as good as I thought.
I agree with Froodjake, relativly to the music use. You should have pass over it. Also, for the voice acting, you had two choices : 1- ask someone to do it, if you're really not good for it. 2- Right your scenario so that you don't have any dialogs in it. The caracter could have received a SMS or have just heard someone breathing into the phone before realising the noise came also from behind him.
Well, the animation wasn't your best one, but it was alright. And in terms of visual, I think the atmosphere was here.
I think you have what you need to make a good horror short. Work on what you got to work, and it'll be very nice:)!
Short in the end
That was a square end. I mean.. it finish abruptly.
You were right. The story is quite simple, and so is the animation. But the color and the backgrounds are still very pretty. I just got to say that I love the scene where the caracters reach is hand to the river, so that we have it right into the screen. Good effect, good perspective.
