Wonderfull

It's not your first flash, isn't it? You use different technique that prooves your knowlege of flash. That's great.

Bute the best thing is the way you pictured your story. Very sensitiv, very original. Too often, music video happens to be repetitive, boring, artists filling the empty times with too long moves or uninteresting pictures. The use of the words, appearing here and there, is a good way to make some "emphase" on the words (sorry for the french word, i didn't find it in english).

Congratualion, dear. I hope you'll have success. It's so nice to get what we deserve after months of work. I know what i mean! My own flashs took me 3 to 4 months to do.

Continu this way, Waiyan!

waiyan responds:

:D wow thank you! well, its not my first flash, because i always quit on all my flashes before i got it done. However, i decided to stick to this till the end and im glad i did :) thank you

Great

What language do the characters speak?

Animachado responds:

Portuguese.

Nice song!

What is it. Where can i find it?

k3ltr0n responds:

its called shining star by yellow zebra i think

Sorry?

Sorry about what? The joke with the three? The non-finished and poor movie?

If you didn't had time to finish it and you still wanted someone to see it, there's the data portal for this.

If not, don't be sorry and work on your creation. Come back when you'll have finish it or when you'll do something interesting and original.

MeLucky responds:

It's spelt tree*

Well done!

For a project done in a week, bravo!

Was it difficult to synchronise de sound and the pictures. I didn't learned to use sounds with Flash, so, do you have some advises?

P.S. Does the Fin at the end mean you'r frensh? Parce que c'est toujours agréable d'en rencontrer sur NG.

ZenMicroClock responds:

It's actually pretty easy to synchronize everything. I usually work with 30 frames per second and since sound travels at about 29.97 frames per second it's an almost perfect match up. And no I'm not french. Je suis desole.

Pretty nice

What interrested me the most in this movie was the story, embellished by the music. It serves it very well. The evolution of the soundtrack, the way it has to sound more and more psychotic as the movie goes is incredible. The drawing style is really good too the "naiveté" of the children versus the creepy chief of the circus... troublant.

But! (because there's always one) i think your coloring needs some improvement. It's likely to see uncolored pixels, or cutting rest (like for the leaves at the begining, There's still the whit pixels aroud...kind of disturbing for the eyes. Ho! And if you had to re submit it, or a least re-export it, you should correct the "Les cirque des enfants" for "Le ...". You just made a little mistake on the door of the circus.

Last thing! In one response to a comment, you said this song as a play in cirque du soleil...I don't think so, and i'm almost sure that this song is not in any show. But if you'r sure of what your saying, I'd be interested to know in wich show it plays.

Hope to see another flash from you soon!

Spune responds:

Hi thanks for the comments.

+ I didn't say it was a song used in Cirque Du Soleil. I said that the title "Cique Des Enfants" was a play on the title "Cirque Du Soleil" The music is an original piece of music written by my friend David FOR this cartoon.

+ There's lots of stuff I need improving on and I can assure you I cringe when I see those leaves and other stuff. I wanted it to be very handdrawn, papery. But yeah... those are bad. But I had a very tight deadline. I have done a lot of work for this quite short project, unfortunately some details like that just had to be left as they were as I tried to get it all finished. But yeah, I know what you mean and hope to change that some day.

Thanks though. I will continue to get better (especially now I'm off to uni) but I do wanna try and get another short out before I start there. Expect something new in the summer. Although Illustration and comicbooks is where my passion really lies. The boy and ringmaster in this are semi-designed off of comic book characters i've been working on for over a year.

Anyway thanks again.

You know what's a déjà-vu?

I'm sure I've already saw it on NG, few weeks ago. Have you update it or have you resubmitted it?

ZenithQuinn responds:

there was no sound the first time so its a resubmit

Update needed

When doing your button, just copy-past the first frame of it. The rest is useless.

Then, for the movie, battle are not that originals.

But a Replay button could be nice?

Continu in this way. You'll improve.

mikaro responds:

Sorry, I was having trouble making the vid plus I'm new to this site. I'll try to fix the problem the best way I can.

Excellent

The drawing serves perfectly the story and the "ambiance" (Sorry, i don't find the word in english).

I loved the shaky effect. You're right when you say it had life.

The only thing I'm sad of, is that I couldn't read all thing the people in the conversation box were saying. It was too fast and do pale. But, the fact of matching the words's color with the character's color was brilliant.

Can't wait to see you're next animation!

CaKeS1 responds:

Thank you! And most of the text was actually just supposed to be somewhat of a side-effect, like in the background just so everyone wasn't just staring at eachother. But IF theres a sequel (:o) i'll be sure to make the text longer.

Hilarity?

Sorry, I didn't find it funny. Is didn't even make me smile.

What's the idea? I mean, it's really just about to pirate explaining the end of lost. And why do you mention they're gay. It's useless for your movie.

Make link with your description and the movie. Also, forget about the button. Instead, add voices and make it a real movie.

Last thing, improving your drawing would be great.

Lare responds:

You don't tell me what to do, you mild mannered beast!
