OMG

I already AM a big fan of Hyperbole & a Half's blog. I didn't knew there was flashs of it!

Chag responds:

The first, will there be more? That's her decision

I know, it's just a beggining

but i think you'll have to work on the atmosphere, on the background, on the story and on the animation to get trough your University programe...

Nice you understood the use of tween motion, but if your drawing is not clean, it won't be nice, even if it's kind of fluid.

Also, your other major point is to put some music in your movie. If the story is more about the dialogues, put some low music in background just to create an atmosphere. Otherwise, it sounds empty.

Work hard and submit your next animation. Maybe you'll get nice reviews.

QueenPenny responds:

Hey !
As a beginner to animating I really do admire your comments as they will help me in future submissions. I will definitely try to clean up my drawing a bit and improve on the other factors you mentioned.
Thank you very much for commenting.

If I was Tom Fulp...

I'd have frontpages you just because of the noise of the "replay" button! XD

That was funny

The story was great. I haven't gone to see if you had made other flashs, but maybe I should. I didn't understood all the characters.

Although, I think you should work on your audio. The sounds often appears to be too loud and the voice too low. I had to play a lot with my speakers during the flash. Also, if you're shy to make your own voice acting, you should ask your friend to do it. There's sometime a...lack of emotion, if I can say it this way. Last thing would be to make some sound test before recording to try reducing the "pff" effects at the bare minimum.

I don't have much thing to say left, concerning the animation and the story. By now, you just need some practice.

Good job, Bert.

Brewster responds:

Yeaah I know what you mean for the audio. I would've gotten some different voice actors for it but I started the series with just my voice and I didn't want to end it with the characters having completely different voices. Thanks for the review.

Good base

Take care of the square of your screen. The "black screen" didn't hide everything.
With sounds, it would have been much more funny...can I say it this way?

That was a good idea. That's a great concept to follow.

Warlord-of-Noodles responds:

thanks^^ for the square tip off. also for the review.

HO!

I didn't , but really did NOT expected this. I thought the beaver was going to fly with it.

Really nice^^!

RageNineteen responds:

Man...I really cannot draw gophers.

Good

That's nice, but a bite long to start. I think that, to let people know it's a serious creation (because it is), you have two or three things to had.

Too had a loading page, go on the download section of newground, on top. You'll find preloaders's files, in fla. Follow the instruction to had it.

During the preloading time and right after it, you shoul had the title of your film, making it clear and evident. Had your name too. Be proud of your creation.

Last thing, too make your movie a movie... a mean, not a loop, you can had a stop effect at the very final frame. Look for flash didactial. They'll give you several easy-to-use codes, such as the stop one. If you don't find it, the preloader will do the job. At the end of your vid', it will automaticly return to the preloader. The button play will wait for the viewers to click on it!

Continu, dear. You have such a lot of potential. Use it well by imporving your technics.

Mayrune responds:

Thank you very much for your constructive review. It is my first creation so it was a learning experience.

Good

Your voice acting isn't this bad. It's alright, until the moment they start fighting. At this moment, the voices are less realistic. It seems just... "done because it had to be done".

If a character have to scream, make it SCREAAAAAM, and not just screaam.

Cartoon are made to be unrealistic, and it's even more the case with comic cartoon.

Though, your animation is quite nice. The faces are funny, well animated, and the moves are as fluids as they possibly can. And I got to give you a big, no, ENORMOUS point: the sound is clean. You know... no breathing in the mic, no background noise, it's clean. Congratulation!

Continu, you'll finish to get something perfect!

SirReginald responds:

Thanks for the input! My main problem with screaming is my mic is pretty sensitive and the quality gets crappy....i should probably work on that though.
